A: Hello there. If your thermostat is in an out-of-the-way location, and/or if you’re unable to move your thermostat (and its wiring) to your preferred spot anymore, a Nest Temperature Sensor might help you with your situation. If you install a sensor in a room, the sensor measures that room’s temperature and sends it to your thermostat. Your thermostat can then use the sensor temperature to keep you more comfortable. Q:I have a multi-zone HVAC system with 2 thermostat controls. do i need to get 2 Nest Thermostats for my house? And do I need any other accessories?
by|Jun 29, 2022

Answer This Question
A: Nest Thermostat is usually compatible with zoned systems that use multiple thermostats, including zoned systems with dampers. However, some zoned systems that require thermostat damper control aren’t compatible with Nest thermostats, while other zoned systems may need a C or common wire, or the Nest Power Connector, to be compatible. We suggest contacting a Nest Pro to help you. A local Nest Pro installer will also be able to tell if your system is Nest compatible (and rewire it to be Nest compatible, if needed). You may check this support article for more information: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9232427

A: There are multiple settings on the dial (which aren't seen until you swipe with fingers); they are heat, cool, heat/cool and off. I haven't tried the heat/cool yet, but I do know that if you want to switch from heat to cool, you can do that using your phone via the Home app. It's very convenient.

A: If you tap on the side, you will get to the menu options where you can slide and tap to switch to cool settings
by|Jul 15, 2022
A: If it is cool mode then yes. Also in heat cool mode. But not if in just heat mode. So there are three settings. Change to those either using the app or the touch switch on the side of it
by|Jan 22, 2022
A: You can change mode of your Nest Thermostat. Set to Heat, Cool, Heat • Cool or Eco mode. You can do it manually on the thermostat itself or using the app. Check this link for more details: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9247301
by|Jan 21, 2022
A: The Heat/Cool selection switch is located in the menu options reached by pressing/tapping the right side of the thermostat case and navigating/sliding down to the mode symbol where you can change the mode to heat or cool manually. You can also change the cool/heat mode within the app on your phone and/or tablet by selecting the thermostat within the app then changing the mode using the left most icon on the bottom bar. There is no physical heat/cool switch on the outer case of the thermostat like you might find on more traditional style thermostats.

Q:Does the nest temperture sensors work with this thermostat?
by|Jan 16, 2022

Answer This Question
A: No it does not
by|Jan 30, 2022
A: No it does not. The people saying it does don?t understand the question. It is not compatible with the separate sensors that tell you the temperature of a specific room.
by|Nov 15, 2022
A: Yes, it does. The display is confusing. The larger number is the temperature the unit is set at that time. The smaller number is the sensor detected temperature at that time. It should have been designed the other way around, with the larger number the detected temperature, and the smaller number the set temperature.
