A: We believe it is, if affixed correctly. We had a workplace inspector check it out and he didn't find any issues with it.
A: yes
A: Good morning, GFP and QC buckets are OSHA and ANSI compliant. Thanks, Kim
A: This kit contains all components for an OSHA compliant system.
A: Good morning, For a low profile application, I would suggest the Ridge Anchors, 00500, 00510 or 00511 or the Hitch clip. Either of these options can be installed perm on your roof. The shingles or roofing material will need to be pulled up for the install, but both are low profile so the majority of the anchor body will be covered. Take a look at our website, www.guardianfall.com. Search in the upper right hand corner for the part numbers or search under anchors, we have the instructions readily available for downloads at the bottom of the pages. If you have any questions on the anchors give a call into our office and speak with anyone in customer service, 800 466 6385, or you can email cs@guardianfall.com thank you, Kim
A: Hi, We cannot say that you can directly connect to the Wrought iron rail. The competent person must verify that the anchor point will hold the 5000 lb requirement. When working on the opposite side of the anchor point there must not be a side load on the anchor point and the worker must be in restraint, meaning that the roof structure cannot be over a 4/12 pitch roof and they cannot get to the end of the structure where they could disengage from the roof.
A: I have been able to drive a car to the opposite side and tie into the shipping hold-down points on the car frame. It might not be a 5000 pound car per OSHA standards, but I can safely say no human will pull the car up to the roof should they fall. Who knows how much the wrought iron can take with a fall jerking on the line? A big tree might be another option to tie onto. I use a 100 foot rope. First, I throw a messenger string with a weight over the roof , then attach the string to the rope to pull the heavy rope back over the roof. Then tie off to the car. The only knot I use is the bowline...it will not slip, and it will not jam, making it easy to undo.
A: if you want to spend the $20 for another one each time you're on a roof, I don't see why not.
A: Hi Caro, Yes, they anchor can be left on the roof. We would suggest if it is a perm application that a seal of some sort is put around the plates of the anchor and with the fasteners when they are installed, to help prevent water leakage. thanks, Kim
A: I bought QualCraft Hitchclip roof anchor. They come 3 to a pack and are meant a permanent roof anchors. I am putting up solar panels and will probably be up on the roof at least once a year cleaning them so I wanted something permanent.
A: the instruction manual specifically says no to that.
A: Good afternoon, You cannot attach multiple people to one anchor point unless it is designed to do so. This anchor is not approved for that application. thank you, Kim
A: Good morning, The harness is rated to 310lbs. thank you, Kim
A: Unfortunately, that would not be an acceptable attachment method. I would recommend using the either the Ridge-It Anchor or a HitchClip as an anchor point in this situation: http://qualcraft.com/construction-safety-products/anchor-points/product/81744-hitchclip http://qualcraft.com/construction-safety-products/anchor-points/product/3-ridge-it-anchor-1-d-ring
