A:  Just purchase enough wire to support the grid in more areas if that is a concern. may have to add a few pilot holes for the wiring. This can also depend on the weight of the ceiling tile. If using the new CEILUME, then the ceiling tile weight is not really a factor. Each tile is very light.

A:  Thank you for your great question! Our tiles are class A fire rated and can withstand up to 140 degrees. We do not, however, recommend these panels be used for an outdoor application due to the fact that extreme temperature swings from hot to cold can affect the panels and the panels themselves are not rated for outdoor UV protection. A:  Not if the ceiling is installed properly. I used because it was installed in a bathroom. I recommend metal grid if not exposed to moisture.

A:  Simple, offset 4 - 8ft runs by two feet on each end of the room in an offset grid pattern, sort of like a tick tack toe pattern. Cannot draw it here. Then no joints to splice.

A:  You can cut the I beams and splice them together, there is an included splice piece on each beam. Make sure you read the instructions on how to lay out your ceiling tiles. If you have a perfect square 10 x 10 room, it should be easy to cut 2' sections off of one beam and splice to your other beam. You could use a hand saw, power saw, or like me, I have a miter saw.

A:  The kit comes with some couplings to join the mains together.

A:  Yes. The PVC material will not rust. I installed this in my basement bathroom under exposed joists.

A:  Thank you for your great question! Yes. Since CeilingMAX is a surface mount grid system, the grid will follow the slope of the ceiling. The only thing that needs to be taken into consideration is the wall brackets. The wall brackets will need to be installed to the ceiling, NOT to the wall. However, this will cause a gap between the backside of the wall bracket and the actual wall. If the install is on a cathedral type ceiling, we suggest installing wall brackets on each side of the slope break so that each wall bracket receives the panel and accommodates for the change in the ceiling levels. A:  If you add suspension wires around and near the light.

A:  You should always attach a drop ceiling light directly to ceiling joists in at least two places. Opposite corners preferred. The reason is safety and likely local fire code. If the lights are simply in the grid without additional attachment, in a fire, the lights will fall and pose a danger to anyone trying to exit the room.
