A: Hello Mayrob: Thanks for the question. The relatively large diameter of the pipe compared to the bite radius of a rodent makes it difficult for them to damage the pipe which is made of a very durable material. No rodent damage reported so far.

Answer This Question
A: Hi, Bill - We've not heard of any state restrictions on our Underground products but it is always incumbent on the installer to check local codes. There are some state restrictions on yellow CSST that were recently enacted but that's a completely different product segment.

Q:My gas company said these lines have a date that must be within 3 years of the inspection date. I need a 500 ft length and I want to make sure of the date before I order as it may be several months before the installation is completed. What is the date

Answer This Question
A: Hi, Patsy - All D2513 gas poly pipe manufacturers are required to show (among other things) the manufacturing date on their pipe every 2 feet. It would be extremely unlikely that you'd receive a coil of pipe that's anywhere close to 3 years old. We work on a first manufactured, first shipped basis to keep inventory fresh. This product is in high demand so there's not much inventory in any warehouse. AND, 1" line is one of the best selling sizes. There's no way to tell the actual manufacturing date before you order but we highly doubt you'll receive a roll that's anywhere close to 3 years old. Hope this helps. Should you wish to discuss, please call me (Dave) at (661) 257-3923 x 1026 M-F 7:30a-2p. Thanks.

A: Hi, Butch - Yes, in accordance with the standard by which it is made, D2513, it has to have a manufacturer's stripe containing mfgr name, pipe size, mfgr date and other information. This information has to repeat with no more than 24 inches of blank space before repeating.
