Questions and Answers for Hampton Bay Black Replacement Stake with Adapter for Landscape Lights

A:  I bought it to try and replace the stake for the Gemmy brand of pathway lights and it was not a match. Even with taping it with duct tape it did not work. Just verify your measurements of current ones you have and compare to see if it will work for you.

A:  I’m not familiar with the Unique brand but the stake and adapter will fit anything with a standard 1/2”  pipe thread.

A:  The adapter didn’t fit any of my Hampton products.  Perhaps as they are 4 years old?   I ended up buying a long spike, using the gorilla glue black tape to secure it to the fixture and disguise the spike.  Works well and looks good.

A:  the adapter is threaded for a female adapter so it might work. I would imagine t could be returned if it does not suit your needs

A:  No it's exactly the same. The adapter is useless.

A:  Sorry, this stake and adapter are diversity challenged and only does male to female. The adapter allows the stake to be used with females with different treads.

A:  Then it would seem that this line from the product description: "Fits all current Hampton Bay landscape lighting" is a gross misrepresentation. The fact that Hampton Bay licenses it's brand to this manufacturer and that one and those different manufacturers produce incompatible products is not something the consumer should have to figure out the hard way. It demonstrates a lack of customer focus on the part of Hampton Bay and Home Depot and until Home Depot starts insisting on consistency on the part of it's brands they really should be avoided, no matter how tempting the cheap prices may be.
