Q:For the H3DTWA, how do you measure the "L" value for the formula when using an extension that changes the overall length? In the diagram, "L" goes from the drive center down to about 3/4 of the handle. Or should it be to 1/2 the handle? or the full len?

A:  QA, For the extension function one should measure the length from the center of the drive tange to the middle point of the handle (where force should be applied) for the most accurate calculation.

Q:I purchased this torque wrench but I am unclear what the minimum torque accuracy is. It is listed as 20-100, but the number go down to 10. Is this torque wrench accurate from 10-20 foot pounds?

          Answer This Question

A:  Wmonk, The accuracy of a Mircormeter Torqure wrench is only tested in the upper 80% of the scale. For the 3/8 inch Wrench that would be 20-100 ft/lbs. Below 20 ft./lbs. the 'click' is often very light and not always felt by the user. Therefore we recommend this wrench be used in the advertised range of 20 to 100 ft./lbs.

Q:So husky is incapable of 18ft lbs of torque? ? I wanted to match my other husky torque wrench but the 1/4? only goes to 200in lbs and the 3/8? starts at 20ft lbs. This doesn?t make sense! 18 ft lbs of torque is a common torque spec on bolts on my F350.

                Answer This Question

A:  Should be +/- in the torque spec. 16 in lb less in a car I think is not an issue. Hope you find one.

A:  Airman, you are correct, Husky does have a slight gap in our torque range from 16.67 ft/lbs. (200 in. lbs.) to 20 ft./lbs. We will look into this for future development.
