Q:Can I install a dead bolt lock, and how do the doors open and close, do I need to buy door handles
              by|Apr 26, 2020

              Answer This Question

A:  Because both doors are active they are held in place with ball catches and use dummy handles. This does not allow for a dead bolt. If you are looking for doors that you are able to lock, we would suggest you purchase either a right hand or a left hand door. The non-active door is held in place with a flush bolt and will allow for a dead bolt to be installed.

Q:1) can I get these with frosted glass? 2) can I get these in an exterior/lockable with a knob and lockset? 3) I really only need one side to open so is there an option for that with this design setup?

                Answer This Question

A:  Sorry these are not available with frosted glass. We do not offer the lockset but do drill a double bore. Yes, you can choose either left hand, right hand or double active. We do not currently offer these in a double door set up on HomeDepot.com, please contact our customer service department to assist you in getting these in an exterior version.

Q:In the small thumbnail picture depicting the room with the rug in it, would you happen to know the stain color on the doors?

                  Answer This Question

A:  The lighting in the picture makes it really hard to tell the actual color. We use MinWax stains on our doors, I would recommend looking at some samples to find the color that you are looking for.

A:  Yes, both doors will open although the right hand door is held in place with a flush bolt. There is a t-astragal on this door but it is attached to the none active door.
