A:  They don’t make a matching piece for these type of transitions. I used it without a transition piece and as long as the carpet is done correctly and has a finished edge, it looks just fine with a small line of grout between the carpet and the tile!

These tiles can be cut to size however, depending on the size you wish for them to be it may be difficult and if you go too small there is a higher chance of them breaking. The trpcial sizes grout line we recommend is 1/8". Good luck for your project.

A:  Porcelain is kiln fired at a higher temperature than ceramic, which results in an extremely dense material that is harder and less absorbent than standard ceramic tile. Considered nearly impervious, porcelain is resistant to acids, heat, scratching, and UV rays. I would think you could cut it however you want. If you go with small groutlines, go with non-sanded grout.

A:  Hello, I finished my 3000+ sqft home with these floor tiles and the results we absolutely beautiful. So I recommend the tile . However, cutting these tiles in half long ways is a very laborious and difficult task. Most tile cutters don't allow you to place a 36 inch tile directly on a platform and cut. You need to rig up a jig. The cuts will most likely be inaccurate and wobble. I am an experience tile cutter and the long cuts with these tiles was an such a pain in the rear. You also can't get clean edges on a tile kitchen top. You can use metal edging but it just not as clean as a quartz or stone counter top. If you want smaller width tiles, go to a major tile supplier and buy what you want. Expect the cost to be 2x of home depot. Best Regards yicamicaricadola

A:  No it cannot- tile isn't perfect which is the reasoning behind grout. It keeps the floor straight and keeps the pattern. Any tile needs grout or you void the warranty.

A:  Hello, Virtually any tile can be installed without grout lines. However, the tile substrate integrity and strength will be substantially degraded without grout. I would never install tiles in a traffic area without grout lines. I would only use no grout on tiles that serve a cosmetic purpose like a wall design. In my opinion, these tiles look great with 1/8 inch grout lines. I believe you could use 1/16 th grout lines but this is not recommended by the manufacturer. The tile manufacturer recommends 15 to 30 % overlap. This implies that the tiles due have some slight warpage. The grout also helps to conform some of the irregularities in the tile. Overall visitors to my home say the tiles look outstanding. I agree. So I highly recommend the tiles but be sure to use some grout if there will be any stress placed upon the tiles. Best Regards

A:  Yes! That is exactly what we did. The 1/16” grout looks great.

A:  As per my tile installer, the smallest he can do is 1/8 even though I asked if 1/16 is doable. One thing that I would like to mention is if you are able to do 1/16 grout line, the grout might not hold very well with that kind of thin spacing so please check with your installer just to make sure that you won't have any problem.

A:  You can but the grout is not going to stay in place you will have places were the grout comes out .

A:  Absolutely no point! They are not rough but non-slip which is ideal for bathrooms, kitchens etc. Anything on them would be a pity, they are so nice.

A:  Hello Kathy, I don't know what the " tolerance on bowing " is . However, these tiles recommend a 15 to 30 % overlap which imply the tiles have some bowing. If they had no bowing then the placement could be from 0 to 100 % overlap. With that said, the tiles look wonderful in my opinion. I used a 1/8 grout line and a random stagger. I used approximately 2000 SF in a million dollar home . Regards

A:  Thank you for the question. In general, Ardennes Café 6 in. x 36 in. Glazed Porcelain Floor tile Warpage- - When measured as described in ASTM C 485, the warpage of each tile in the sample shall not exceed 1.0 percent along any edge nor 0.75 percent on either diagonal.
