A:  Thank you for your question on the LS1219L miter saw. This saw can cut melamine board up to 15" in one safe pass, not 15 3/4", with blade recommended for cutting melamine. Makita does not offer a melamine cutting blade.

A:  by my measurements I get max. of 14-1/2"

A:  When I first looked at this on line at Home Depot, there were none available, but I was given the opportunity to place my name on a list to be notified when they were in. I checked the site several time over the next few weeks, and eventually, they were available to order, so I did. Two weeks after I picked it up, I was notified by Home Depot that they were now available.

A:  I have seen the same thing about being discontinued. I purchased it online at HD in March and had it shipped to the store. It took about 10 days to get it to my local store.
