A:  110/120v only according to the box. They make a 220v though I've only seen it on British or Australian Makita websites and vendors. Batteries and tools are the same internationally, but chargers change based on household voltage.

A:  mine states 120 volt 50/60 cycle. with a step down transformer this should work fine. if yours states only 60 cycles then no. As Europe uses 50 cycle it will confuse the electronics and you will never get a full charge eventually ruining the battery.
