Questions and Answers for Master Flow 2 Speed Wholehouse Fan Control Switch

A:  I've had one controlling two fans for the last two years I haven't had any problem

A:  The short answer is yes, the longer version is not independent of each other only at the same time and only if they don't overload the amp draw.

A:  You should be able to use it as a High, Low and Off switch with other products.

A:  It likely can be used with other brands, but you'll want to verify the output ranges of the Hi/Lo fall within the acceptable input ranges of the other fans. It works great on my house fan that is nearly 50 years old and not a Master Flow.

A:  15 amps I believe.

A:  NO..I am just a home DIY guy, not an Electrician and may not use the proper terms. AFAIK this switch cannot be used to create different speeds for a normally 1-speed fan. Please note, the fans this switch is intended for are already 2-speed fans. These fans have 3 wires. One is HOT, and the other 2 are for low and high speeds. All the switch does is to complete the power circuit to either the low speed wire or the high speed wire, or neither (i.e. OFF).

A:  I doubt it. The way QuietCool wires it up it’s simply a 3-way switch. The hi/low is done at the fan unit.

A:  No it only can control a motor that has the extra wires for a second speed. It is only a switch 

A:  I guess you could use it that way but why not just buy a switch designed to moderate fan speed. They’re even cheaper.
