The Mighty Mule FM132 Push Button Entry/Exit Control for Automatic Gate Opener (Model # FM132) Is hard wired and can be used with your Viper VIP TC-9 Slide Gate Operator. The manufacturer said you should make sure the contacts line up for best operation. Best wishes on your project.

A:  Hi Jacque, yes this push button FM132 will work with the solar powered unit. You need to ensure when you first install the battery, that you have a battery with a minimum of 12.5 volts. That can then be maintained with the solar power.
