Q:would this be good to remove rust off a galvanized corrugated metal fence? or would it be too strong that it would eat up too much material? (I'm prepping so I could give it its first paint job)

A: yes

A: It would take it down to bare metal quickly.

A: It would probably depend upon the hardness of the underlying metal fence. If it's harder metal it should just remove the rust and galvanized coating but it could damage a softer metal.
You might try scratching the fence with a nail somewhere that isn't visible and that will give you an idea what the cup brush would do....

A: Not sure I do not think that would work
by|Mar 18, 2021
A: Yes. This should do the job!
by|May 15, 2019
A: I would think so. I used it to smooth out very old concrete drops on a concrete floor. It only lasted on about a 12 sqft area before it was worn all of the way down. So depending on the size of the job, you might need more than one.

A: This knotted cup is very stiff and not very compliant, I would use a straight wire brush attachment and as stated below use the proper safety equipment.

A: Yes, it is very abrasive and you’ll need proper hand, eye and head gear. After some use the wires will ware, break off and shoot like darts in the area you’re working. Safety 1st!

A: Yes

A: This should work with any standard angle grinder with a 5/8" - 11tpi spindle. It just screws onto the spindle so shouldn't require any attachments.
