A:  Morton Clean & Protect Water Softener Salt Pellets are formulated for use in a water softener unit. We are unable to recommend its use outside of this purpose. You may wish to check with your dishwasher manufacturer for specifications regarding the type of salt to be used in your dishwasher.

A:  Morton Clean & Protect Water Softener is sold in a pellet form. The pellets are formed from compressed salt. You may wish to check your owner's manual or the manufacturer of your water softener unit on the use of pellets in your unit.

A:  When iron is noticeably present in your water supply, we recommend Morton Clean & Protect Plus Rust Defense.

A:  Morton® Clean and Protect and Morton® Clean pellets are compressed from either vacuum granulated salt or solar salt.

A:  Our products are produced at many manufacturing locations and processing sites. Each site is slightly different in how they manufacture our products, which causes a slight variation in color and size of the pellets. These visual differences will not impact the functionality of the pellets or negatively impact the water conditioning systems.
