A: Home Depot has not discontinued our Long Fibered Sphagnum Moss, but they have not placed any fall 2022 replenishment orders.
A: You have to order it on line.
A: Yes, this is what was recommended for my orchids.
A: Thank you for your question. Mosser Lee Sphagnum Moss has a wide variety of horticultural uses. It can definitely be used to transplant or re-mount Orchids.
A: The Mosser Lee Sphagnum Moss is considered a dead plant once harvested and dried. Although It is possible to re-grow Sphagnum Moss that has never been dried, it would have to be recently harvested, still wet and have the correct growing environment for this type of moss.
A: The Mosser Lee Sphagnum Moss is a domenstic product harvested from marshes in Wisconsin.
A: Yes, I have had success making a moss pole with this brand of sphagnum moss.

A: Definitely not, sphagnum moss is harvested as a living plant and dried, peat moss is dug up from a deposit of such
A: Thank you for the question. Sphagnum Moss is not the same as peat moss. Sphagnum Moss is the live fiberous plant that grows in marshes and peat moss is the dead decaying moss that the live plant grows in. Spahagnum Moss is harvested, dried and packaged, while peat moss is dug from the earth and is very soil like. Harvesting Sphagnum Moss is renewable and sustainable, but to obtain peat moss, the marsh must be dug up and destroyed.
A: No. Sphagnum has a more spongy feel, and is used for different purposes. I use Sphagnum Moss for air layering tree clones, but nothing else. Peat Moss is more useful for potting soil, and sort of a standard. I believe both are endangered and no earth loving gardener uses them. I prefer Coco Coir or natural soil when possible, better for the earth and works great!
A: No it is not: Sphagnum moss is a plant that grows on the surface of soil or a swamp. ... Peat moss, on the other hand, is the layer of decaying, water-saturated sphagnum moss that has sunk below the surface. It is the basis of swamp land, forming over thousands of years.
A: Thank you for the question. The Mosser Lee Sphagnum Moss is an all natural product harvested from marshes in Wisconsin. It does not contain any additives.
A: No. It’s acidic so it will lower it very slightly
A: Thank you for your question. Sphagnum Moss while low in pH does not integrate enough with the soil to see a pH adjustment when used in a soil mix. Peat Moss might be a better choice or we recommend Aluminum Sulfate, which would adjust the soil pH pretty quickly.
A: Mosser Lee Sphagnum Moss can be used for any variety of tree.
A: Some stores carry item, some don't. Sells out fast.
A: The Mosser Lee Sphagnum 432 cu. in. is a smaller consumer package that is not compacted. Sounds like inventory at this particular store was not accurate.
A: No, this is not Spanish Moss or Peat Moss, Sphagnum Moss grow on the top of swampland and is harvested as such. Peat Moss resides underneath the Sphagnum Moss in the swamp and is water logged, decaying Sphagnum Moss. Spanish Moss simply grows on trees. So you are correct this is NOT Spanish or Peat Moss, AND it was not advertised that way. My question to you is, since Humble didn't have any how could you look at it and determine what kind of moss it was....!?!??!
A: This is not in loose form . This is a small brick of sphagnum. My husband had a hard time before finding because he was expecting a bag like pear moss. This is dried and compacted into brick form. I only use this brand for my 10’ topiary for emergency purposes like patching small holes from squirrels or birds and I don’t have a day or to you wait for shipment. If u have time a Better brand and bigger quantity for price , soaks up more water and no chemicals, healthier go to Topiary Artworks and greenhouse I believe it’s located in Kansas ( if memory serves me correctly) , it’s a family business , Normally receive my order within 2-3 days.
