Q:Might be a silly questions, but how exactly does it keep pests out? Will they not crawl in when the vent is open to let the dryer air out?

Answer This Question
A: Hello, so that would be a possible scenario, however over the years we have yet to have that be an issue. We found that when the dryer is running, the air deters them from entering.

Q:It says 4 in. but is that ID or OD? Will this fit through a 4-in. hole in concrete?

Answer This Question
A: Outside diameter. The piping is very thin aluminum so you can squeeze and shift as needed to get through the opening, as long as you don't pop the seam and have to take it out and try again. Ive put two of these in my home, one as a bath exhaust vent and one as a dryer vent. Both work well, though they clap a small amount in very stong winds.
