Q:I saw where they make custom orders. I have a large order but hate to waste materials. Can I have my material made to order? Everything is Hawiian Charcoal. I need 25 pieces of Magellan 9'1" long. 17 pieces of Columbus 9'1" long for my front steps and 28 pieces of Magellan 52" long and 20 pieces of Columbus 52" long and 12 pieces of each 4 foot long for my rear steps. Also if the Fascia Composite decking board could be made 6.5 inches wide or 13 inches so I could cut them in half, I would buy 18- 6.5" or 9 -13" for the front at 8' 6" long and 22-6.5" or 11-13" at 52" long and 8-6.5" or 4-13" at 4 foot long for the rear. Also, I need a 8-6 piece of Magellan that is only 3" wide for the front landing and a 3" piece that is 52 long for the rear landing. Thanks.

Answer This Question
A: Hi, Tim. You are correct that we do make custom pieces, but it sounds like there is some confusion. You would need a 2400 linear feet minimum (as seen on the Custom Colors and Profiles page here: https://www.newtechwood.com/custom-colors/). While at the onset, this board order does not look to meet this requirement, I went ahead and did the math, and indeed you have a total of about 700 linear feet, which includes combining the deck boards and the fascia boards, well below this threshold,. We recognize the need to avoid waste, but it would not be feasible to make such precise board dimensions, for an order of this size. While it is not ideal, my recommendation would be buy a combination of 8 foot and 16 foot boards and cut to your desired length. You could do this through both HomeDepot.com, and the Home Depot Pro-Desk. Please feel free to email us at inquiry@newtechwood.com with any other questions you may have, or for further clarification.
