A: You can, but we would recommend for you to use our actual decking. You can use the Cortes deck board.
A: You can miter. I initially used a clear sealer, has been fine. Plan to use some darker sealer for exposed ends, it will be no issue since I have had this almost two years. It is great material, hasn't swelled (not all ends were coated) and or cracked, warped etc. Purchase the coated screws meant for this material and countersink if you can. The material will want to extrude under the head otherwise but you can certainly do it depending where the visibility is. Use putty if you want, but not really necessary. On a side note. The actual decking is absolutely lethal with snow. As in dangerous, so slippery.
A: Yes it is possible to miter cut the deck board product. Yes once the board is cut you will need to apply a water based sealer to the cut edge. Instead of screws we recommend using our hidden fastener system.
A: Only the NewTechWood siding is designed to be used in a soffit or ceiling application.
A: The US05 fascia board is designed to be fastened using screws. It is not considered a deck board.
