Answer This Question
A: Are outdoor rugs resistant to mold and mildew?
Typically, outdoor rugs are created from material that’s resistant to mold and mildew. However, it’s still best to thoroughly air-dry rugs after washing or after heavy rains to make sure moisture isn’t trapped under the rug or between the fibers. Moisture can combine with trapped dirt in the rug and cause mold or moss to crop up, which is why regular cleaning is important. If you do find any mildew or fungus, you can get rid of it by spot cleaning with a vinegar-water mixture.
Bleach is usually effective for removing growth such as mildew or moss, but make sure to check with your rug manufacture to see if this will damage the rug's color. Test a small section of the rug's corner first, before using bleach on the rest of the rug. Clean the rug on a driveway or other location where you can divert any run-off away from plants or grass.
Using a rug pad will help avoid moisture build-up, but you should still regularly check under the rug to make sure it's properly dried and ventilated.

Q:What colors are in the natural rug? My deck floor is a medium gray and the railings are a cream color. Does the natural rug have any gray or cream? Thankyou!
A: The rug will be ruined over time. I have had this rug for a little over a year, the red color started changing about six months in. The other colors are pretty much the same. I think it it rain and sun that changes the rug. However, it appears the red wears more than any other color.

A: I’ll be brutally honest…. These rugs will hold up in rain, for the most part. I bought the 9x11, a 5x7, and the 7” circular rug, all of this same pattern for my back patio. And, on EVERY single one, the red color faded horribly. To not have to be forced to buy brand new again, and luckily I was able to find an exterior fabric paint and we used it to paint over the red. I’m a tad dissatisfied/disappointed in having to do this. But such is life.
Again, they will hold up in the rain…. But expect the red to fade fairly quickly, after just one summer.
