Questions and Answers for Orbit B-hyve XR 16-Zone Smart Sprinkler Controller

A:  Our timers do not have the ability to water any zones at the same time. In order to maintain a steady flow and balanced water pressure, your zones will water one after the other instead of simultaneously.

A:  Yes, you are able to turn on Smart Watering for specific zones while programming a set schedule for others in our B-hyve app. Our Orbit support team would be happy to help achieve this in the programming of your B-hyve smart timer. A:  This timer has the capability of being hardwired, although please note that we are unable to offer support during the hardwiring process. It is important to be aware that hardwiring the timer will void its warranty.

A:  Yes, this timer is weatherproof and can be safely mounted wherever you like.

A:  Yes, you can use our XR timer to start a pump that is 2HP or less.

A:  Yes, our B-hyve XR works with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks.

A:  Yes, it does. AC mode (Wifi 4)

A:  You can Create up to 4 programs on the Orbit B-Hyve XR.

A:  Yes, you can attach a master valve.

A:  I’m not sure exactly what you mean by master valve but I have a backflow device with a shutoff to the main sprinkler line (before and after the backflow).   As long as you have water pressure it should work.  However, if a valve (other than the ones that control the zone needs to be turned on like a ball valve I don’t think so).  I would call the manufacturer as they have been very helpful.  I really love this controller especially when turning on the zones for the season or blowing them out.  It’s so liberating to do it from your phone rather than running inside to turn things on and off.
