A: Gus, that might be a question for Ray Padula. All we can say is that these washers and O rings are built for use with 5/8" - 3/4" standard hose connections.

A: No, depending on the attachment you have, one will fit and seal better than the other.
A lot of the simple squeeze handle sprayers use the flat washer.
If you still have the seal that was in there, replace with whatever was closest.
If you don't, just try one type at a time and see if it seals well.

A: The washers are for most hoses. The rings are for most hose reels. They are the two most common serviceable parts on an outdoor hose. You should be able to match them up to the old washers/rings

A: NO......Use either but not both. Replace old washer with new washer, etc. Replace O Rings with new O Rings. Both are included for your convenience.

Q:Possibly a stupid question: where/how do you use the O-rings? Do you put them in the female connector of a hose like the washers? Or do they go on the outside of the male end? Or...?

Answer This Question
A: The o-ring fits over the inside stem of the hose nozzle. If you remove the nozzle from the hose and screw it all the way out, the inner stem will come out and you'll see the o-ring. When you close the nozzle, the o-ring seals against a seat in the outer part of the nozzle, preventing water from coming out.

A: The description of the product states: "O-rings allow for maximum sealing performance"
So, perhaps the O-rings are used when the washers don't provide a sufficient seal.

A: the O-rings are for where the hose receiver goes inside the rotating reel. disassembly required.

A: The O-Rings are internal. Just one inside a brass sprayer nozzle. That seals the water from leaking out onto your shoes. Other sprayer "may" have an O-ring. IF it starts leaking from the top end, take it apart if you can. Most chances there will be an O-Ring in there :)

Q:not sure what these are for or if i need them. i assume they replace original rings to stop leaking at connection of hose an feeder?? Like for stretched out washers and o-rings, or due to dry rot?
by|May 24, 2016

Answer This Question
A: Try not to use two O-rings at once, touching each other. Just use one. I usually start with the flat design, tighten by hand, and if it leaks water, remove the flat and try the round. One of the two should work. They do go bad after a year or a few years, due to weather damage. Try not to overtighten with a tool, just use hand tight. Good luck or hope you already found the answer!

Q:will o rings fit Blue Hawk hose reel cart model LHR002
by|Sep 16, 2015

Answer This Question
A: I bought the O-rings to fix a wall mounted reel. It did no fit.
by|May 5, 2023
A: Rich, the LHR002 seems to be a hose reel cart, and doesn't include a hose. That said, three of the most common washers are included in this pack. Most 3/4" hose washers are compatible with most 3/4" product and hose. Please contact our Support team at 1-800-488-6156 if you have further questions, and we'd be happy to help in any way we can. Thanks!
