Answer This Question
A: Hello Yuri, We would advise that you verify your Local Building Code to confirm the required/recommended R-value for your exterior walls. The Foamular would provide an R-value of 5 per inch. You may also consider the labor involved to cut the Foamular to fit between the cavity space. Thank you for your inquiry.

Q:I'm going to use 2 inch rigid foam insulation board for a model railroad base. Should I use the 250 or 150 type since they are the same price.

Answer This Question
A: Hello AndyinImlay, The difference in the Foamular 150 and Foamular 250 is the compressive strength which is measured in pounds per square inch. PSI is the weighted force that can be applied to a product prior to it breaking or being crushed. Foamular 150 has a PSI of 15 and Foamular 250 has a PSI of 25. Another popular product for hobbyist includes the Foamular Project Panel which has a PSI of 15. Due to your type of project the PSI tends not to be a huge factor, therefore either product would meet your needs. Thank you for the inquiry.
