A:  Depends on you’re local jurisdiction but I’ve seen them regularly ran up to 50’. Make sure to use the right duct though, either semi rigid flex or rigid metal duct.

A:  If i am not mistaken, tis unit uses a 3" fan, and is meant to be placed in a 200 sq ft area, you vent it thru the round exhaust to outside, thru the wall is the most common method used.

A:  we installed this fan three moths ago it was very hard because of the bad design for electric box you need to do special framing after all these hassle it stopped working now we need to pay contractor money to take it out we called they said we will sent you another one but they didn't .how is responsible for this damage ????????????

A:  My application was highly specialized since the unit is installed in a custom food trailer. To view pictures of the trailer and installation go to Randy The Hot Dog Guy and Randy Pollack on Face Book and scroll thru pictures. I doubt my run is more then 2.5 feet since it vents from one enclosed area to a second area containing a ridge vent.

A:  I have mine running about 12 feet, then joining with the exhaust hose from another bathroom exhaust fan, and from that point it goes another 15 feet. Works great. Honestly, this thing works so well, I think as long as you use gentle radius' s and don't link the hoses you could go as far as you need. This thing is so powerful if you close all the doors and windows to the bathroom this is in you can hear & feel air being pulled in under the door!

A:  Running the duct is more of a question for your installer. My 6" duct runs about 8 feet until it gets to a roof outlet T-pipe. The duct on the fan is several inches long, as shown in picture, and then connects with your existing duct. As you know the longer it runs, the more it can lose some suction. It's a powerful, quiet fan and I love it and would buy again. I do find upon reading threads online that exhaust fans are hard to install in existing fan replacement. Every thing is different, it seems. Lots of frustration, cutting drywall, squeezing this into that, etc., even if you buy the same size opening in the specs. Having said that, I will be getting another of these for my laundry room.

A:  Yes, a SPST switch would work fine. This is shown in the instructions that are sent with the fan.

A:  Motion activation does not make any sense in a large bathroom, it would constantly be shutting off.

A:  Yes, the motor can tolerate continuous running. You may wish to consider the impact on the rest of the home’s AC and heating if you run it for long periods of time.

A:  Yes, a 6" duct is what is recommended and is what we used. We tried to get the flex duct as straight as possible but not sure how that worked out since we had such a language barrier with the roofer that installed it.

A:  yes you can. Remember not to reduce your line going out. Think of air flow as a water hose. If you have a 1" hose and connect a 3/4" hose to it then the water pressure will increase because of the resistance. The same way as an air hose.
