A:  The answer is actually 100 20lb bags make a ton, however 50 40lb bags make a ton and typically you can only buy 40lb bags

A:  In Ukiah, CA they are fir softwood and burn great. Ash is light tan color.

A:  The brand is Cascade, Douglas fir pellets. They put out a lot of heat with very little ash. I can burn up to 5 bags (40# ea) before vacuuming out the hopper.
