A:  BT, The installation instructions can be found in the Info & Guides section that is boxed-off and perhaps a screen below the Add to Cart button. You will find that the instructions are the same as for post caps.

        Answer This Question

A:  Yes there should be no problem attaching to the post that is in concrete. Finish nails work great and is what I used on my installation.

Q:Perfect! However, I also have 6" X 6" posts. Why can't I find the skirts for the 6 X 6 size? I need this skirt trim to match the 4 X 4 ones. I can't find this molding in the store where I can cut my own skirts for the 6 X 6 posts.

A:  Hello Joe, Thank you for your inquiry. We searched and were unable to find 6 x 6 skirts online. We were only able to find the 4 x 4 offered online. Thank you for choosing The Home Depot.

Q:I have deck posts that are exactly 4" x 4". Will these fit or are they sized for a 4x4" post, which is actually smaller than 4". I need 54 so I don't want to order something that won't fit. Exactly what is the inside diameter?

Q:Can this be cut and retro-fitter to my 4x4 posts? My carpenter was lazy and just put plain boards on the bottom of our posts. I like these better, but wondering if it's too late, since the posts are already installed and bolted down. I assume you're supposed to slip them over before they're secure? Thanks!

A:  Yes they can be added later, and no cutting is needed. One of the four sides is loose, and the other three are joined together. You slip the three-sided assembly into place around the post base, and then use a pin nailer or glue to attach the remaining side.

A:  Answer: These actually come separated so you can place on the post without having to place from above, not exactly the 4x4 measure but depending on your posts they might need a few cm adjustments. Overall they look good once installed.
