    Answer This Question

A:  The dry-placement method for concrete will not work when using QUIKRETE® Building Forms. Consolidation of the wet material is necessary for the concrete to achieve the designed pattern.

          Answer This Question

A:  A driveway should not be constructed using QUIKRETE® Walk Maker® Forms. The QUIKRETE® Walk Maker® Forms are typically used for creating walks, paths, patios, courtyards, etc. All of these are applications which are subjected to pedestrian traffic, rather than automobile traffic. You will find instructions on how to create walks, paths, patios, courtyards, etc. on the following website link. https://www.quikrete.com/athome/walkmaker.asp. Alternately, the products usually used for driveways include Crack Resistant Concrete Mix #1006 or QUIKRETE-5000 Concrete Mix #1007.Please call the QUIKRETE® Technical Center at 1-800-282-5828 if you have any further questions.

Q:Looking to install a paver walkway using these molds. Which type of quickcrete is recommended (Crack resistant or standard) and how many bags per mold. Some say 1 per mold others say they get 3 molds. It's 24"640"2" estimating 26-30 molds.

              Answer This Question

A:  QUIKRETE® Walk-Maker building forms can be filled with any preblended concrete. We recommend Crack Resistant Concrete Mix as it will better weather impact and traffic flexure than a non-fibered concrete. The Walk-Maker forms are designed to contain one 80-pound bag of concrete per placement.

                Answer This Question

A:  QUIKRETE® Walk-Maker Building Forms can be used to create patios with a thickness of two inches. For thicker slabs, we recommend placing ordinary concrete to the desired depth minus two inches, then placing the patterned building forms to make the decorative patio on top of that.

A:  Any quality QUIKRETE® packaged concrete, like QUIKRETE® Crack-Resistant Concrete Mix, is suitable for use with the QUIKRETE® Walk-Maker building forms. The quality of the resulting concrete depends more on the craftsmanship of the installer than the material itself.

A:  I don’t see why not. You place the stencil and fill in where you want with concrete. It’s very simple to use. And once they dry you can also move them if need be.

A:  Yes, it can. Just simply leave out a section to create the curve. I also made some “bricks” on boards to fill in gaps. I placed them to complete the curve.
