Questions and Answers for Quikrete 50 lb. All-Purpose Gravel

A:  Each 50-pound bag of QUIRKETE® All-Purpose Gravel yields approximately 0.5 cubic feet. For an area of 15” diameter hole 6” thick, you will need 0.61 cubic feet of concrete or 2 bags, of 50-pounds each. Yields will vary with waste, uneven subgrade, etc.

A:  No. It is more like 1/4" gravel.

A:  QUIKRETE® All-Purpose Gravel is suitable as a compacted base for construction.

A:  Please check with your artificial grass manufacturer to confirm specifically what is recommended for your system. A:  QUIKRETE® All-Purpose Gravel can be used to make a compacted gravel base for any type of construction.

A:  Yes. You can use it for your drive way. I am not sure how many bags you will need, but will definitely need a few of them for a 10x10 drive way.

A:  QUIKRETE® All-Purpose Gravel can be used for all applications requiring a uniform gravel with a nominal -1/2” top-size.

A:  QUIKRETE All-Purpose Gravel can be used to fill void spaces, but alone will not create a permanent barrier. For a superior barrier, we recommend blending the All-Purpose Gravel with All-Purpose Sand, which will help fill the spaces between the gravel particles.

A:  Yes, water will seep through it

A:  QUIKRETE® All-Purpose Gravel does not contain binder, so it will permit drainage. Ground water will not be impeded by this gravel.

A:  QUIKRETE® All-Purpose Gravel has a nominal top-size of -1/2”, and is suitable for all applications requiring a clean, consistently graded gravel with this size. Please consult the box-step instructions to determine whether the size of this product is suitable.

A:  This is gravel only.  You’d have to mix it with Portland cement to make a rigid product.  

A:  Maybe two Buy extra and return any unused bags

A:  Each 50-pound bag of QUIRKETE® All-Purpose Gravel yields approximately 0.5 cubic feet. To cover a 12’ by 12’ area with 2” of gravel, you will need 24 cubic feet of gravel, or 48 50-pound bags. Yields will vary with waste, uneven subgrade, etc.
