Questions and Answers for Quikrete 50 lbs. 5000 PSI Concrete Mix

A:  Each 50-pound bag of QUIKRETE 5000 Concrete Mix will yield approximately 0.375 cubic feet when mixed. For a slab of 18’x21’x4‘’, you will need 126 cubic feet of concrete, or 336 50-pound bags. Yields are approximate and will vary with waste, uneven subgrades, etc.

A:  Each 50-pound bag of QUIKRETE Concrete Mix yields approximately 0.375 cubic feet of concrete. For a pour of 4' by 4' at 16" thick, you will need 21 1-/3 cubic feet, or 57 50-pound bags. Yields are approximate and will vary with waste, uneven subgrades, etc.

A:  Each 50-pound bag of QUIKRETE 5000 Concrete Mix will yield approximately 0.375 cubic feet when mixed. For a slab of 9 feet by 10 inches by 5 inches, you will need 3.1 cubic feet of concrete, or 9 50-pound bags. Yields are approximate and will vary with waste, uneven subgrades, etc.

According to the application instructions from Quikrete: “Protect concrete from freezing during the first 48 hours.” “Plastic sheeting and insulation blankets should be used if temperatures are expected to fall below 32F (0c).” “According to Quikrete, set times will fluctuate in extremely hot or cold weather. A:  QUIKRETE 5000 PSI Concrete Mix has been available in 60 and 80-pound bags for a long time. The Home Depot website has not been updated to reflect the new 50-pound size yet. We have brought this to The Home Depot's attention for adjustment.

A:  Each 50-pound bag of QUIRKETE® 5000 Concrete Mix yields approximately 0.375 cubic feet. For an area of 12’6”x 6’4” x 4”deep, you will need 26.4 cubic feet of concrete or 71 bags, of 50-pounds each. Yields will vary with waste, uneven subgrade, etc.

A:  QUIKRETE 5000 Concrete Mix can be walked upon 24 hours after casting, when cured properly. In low temperatures or difficult curing conditions, we recommend waiting for 48 hours.

A:  QUIKRETE® 5000 Concrete Mix is a high early strength concrete which achieves typical compressive strengths of 1,500 psi at 1 days and 5,000 psi at 28 days. This concrete is made with hydraulic cement, meaning it will set and harden even underwater.

A:  Each 80-pound bag of QUIKRETE Concrete Mix yields approximately 0.6 cubic feet. For a 4.6’ x 6.3’ x 4" pour, you will need 9-2/3 cubic feet of concrete, or 17 80-pound bags. Yields are approximate and will vary with waste, uneven subgrades, etc.

A:  Each 50-pound bag of QUIRKETE® 5000 Concrete Mix yields approximately 0.375 cubic feet. For an area of 16 square feet by 3” thick, you will need 4 cubic feet of concrete or 11 bags, of 50-pounds each. Yields will vary with waste, uneven subgrade, etc.
