A: The 500RSDS uses 4.5 running amps. Startup amps can be up to 5 times that when using an alternate power source. 4.5 x 5 = 22.5 amps inrush is possible.

A: This pump is not designed to handle sewage or gray water. This is a sump pump, designed to be used indoors and pump clear water that has filtered down thru your drain tile. Ridgid does have a Sewage Pump model RWCS50T.

A: this is a submersible sump pump, meaning it goes into a sump pit, when the water level reaches a certain level in the pit, the float goes up and triggers the pump. I don't think this is what you are looking for.

A: This is a submersible sump pump designed to go into a sump pit in your basement to pump off clear water that has filtered down thru your drain tile. The pump is designed with a 1 1/2" outlet that can be reduced to a 1 1/4" piping. You can use flexible sump pump hose in a temporary situation. (They are not designed to be reduced down to garden hose size.)

A: The Ridgid sump pumps are not designed to produce pressure, they are designed to move large amounts of clear water out of a basement sump pit. Any back pressure put on the pump will cause damage and void warranties.
