A: The tapping block in the Rogers Kit will work with any tap lock flooring system. The Quick Step system is almost identical to what I had on the Purgo Floor. Remember, the tapping block is only used to tap the plank into it's final locking position. You will push the locking tab into position at about a 45 degree angle. You will gently tap the outer edge of the plank while exerting very light downward pressure on the plank until the "lock" gently falls into place and the planks lay down flat side by side. Practice this a few times with a scrap piece until you get the feel of it. Shouldn't take more than two or three tries to see exactly how easy it works. Then use your newly developed technique consistently through the entire job. You never strike the edge with any force. The tapping block will simply distribute the energy of the tapping across a long area to prevent "mushrooming" the lock tab. If it doesn't tap in fairly easy, take it back out and clean the groove out with a cloth or very soft small brush. NEVER get rough on it. It will tap and lock with very little effort.
