Q:Can you put it on concrete? If it gets wet will it smear?

Answer This Question
A: Great question, Michelle! While Rust-Oleum Specialty Glow in the Dark Spray Paint can be applied directly to unsealed concrete surfaces, we do recommend applying this paint over a white or very light color paint or primer. This will ensure the best glow of the product. We also recommend allowing the paint to fully dry before exposing to water to prevent water spotting or a blotchy appearance.

Answer This Question
A: We're happy to help. While Rust-Oleum Specialty Glow in the Dark Spray Paint can be applied to outdoor surfaces, periodic re-application may be required. The wear from the elements will cause the finish to fade over time.

Q:Will this paint fluoresce under Black Light/UV?

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for reaching out. While Rust-Oleum Specialty Glow in The Dark Paint creates a luminescent glow when charged in the light, we do not recommend using a black light to charge it. For the most prominent color with a black light we recommend using our Rust-Oleum Specialty Fluorescent Spray Paint.

Q:Will it glow with being out in the sun light? Looking to paint some outdoor Halloween decorations

Answer This Question
A: Happy to help, Karina! The painted object can be charged in natural or artificial light. The closer, more direct, and more consistent the strength of the light is, the better the object will glow. Any shadows, blockage of light, or inconsistency of light during charging (i.e. gradual sunset) will affect the objects' ability to glow. The object can glow up to 8 hours under ideal conditions. Please note that the glow will continue to fade over time and will not be as strong as it was immediately after charging. We also recommend applying Rust-Oleum Specialty Glow in the Dark Spray Paint over a white surface.

Answer This Question
A: Hi Tom, yes, you can apply a clear coating over our Rust-Oleum Specialty Glow in the Dark. To ensure compatibility, we would recommend allowing the Glow in the Dark paint to cure for 5-7 days before applying the clear, applying the clear in multiple light coats a few minutes apart. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 2
