A: There are several methods that can be used to cut this profile. You can simply use a hack saw, (look for a bimetal blade and select the highest teeth per inch, or TPI, available.) A miter box is recommended to help ensure a straight cut. Or, you may also want to watch our Tip’s video on how to cut profiles at the following link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0kGTJp01RE

Q:Can this trim be used outside? I am installing tiles on the outdoor stairs at the main entrance and looking for a edging to visually separate stairs. Need to know if these are suitable for outdoors and will last under New England weather (snow, ice, etc.)

Q:I want to use 8 mm (~5/16ths) tile for a kitchen counter, and to install with ditra. Would the 3/8ths rondec step profile work, or do I need to use the 1/2" to allow for the ditra and thin set? Or should I skip the ditra? Thanks

Q:The on-line brief states the vertical leg covers 1-1/2" of sub-assembly. And accommodates 3/8" thick tile. I need the total top to bottom dimension of the front face viewed after installation is completed. Our tile thickness is 5/16" thick.

Q:I am interested in this product but I need a different size. I need 5/16 inch for tile size, not 3/8.
Also I need a outside corner piece.
Do sell other Rondec-Step metal edging sizes and also the outside corners.
Thank You
