Q:My handy man suggested these to use under my stove that sits on the lowest part of the floor.
However he did put Allure Traffic master vinyl flooring in that spot, which can probably be removed since it is not going to be seen.

Answer This Question
A: Yes, but after sitting for some time in place - just like the the feet on your stove - it may form an indention in the vinyl and take some effort to start rolling again.

Q:I'm redoing the flooring and was wondering if this would work to move a pool table back and forth so I can get to the different areas underneath. I'm worried about the new flooring going down though. I'm putting luxury vinyl tiles down, what would happen to the tiles if I rolled over them?

Answer This Question
A: It depends on the flooring. If it is a soft vinyl floor, then we suggest not using these appliance rollers. The heavy weight of the pool table might put enough pressure on the wheels to create an indent or groove in your flooring. However, they are safe to use on hard floors.

A: No. Table would be too heavy.
by|May 4, 2023
A: They only roll in one fixed direction, forward and back. I don't know if they would handle the weight of a pool table or damage the flooring.

A: NO! MUCH TO HEAVY! Go to Home Depot Tool Rental and ask for Furniture Dollys.

Answer This Question
A: Depends on the weight.
The wheels might scratch the floor if you need to pull it out or move it around often.
If you do use them, be sure to put a thin rigid plastic sheet under them to when moving to avoid scratches.

Q:I understand that this item is designed for appliances which may vibrate and is therefore not recommended for permanent use. However I thought I could use them to support a wardrobe I have that I move seasonally (twice a year). I would like avoid emptying it when I move it. Would this item work for me?

A: Perfect for any large item
by|Jun 7, 2021
A: I don't think so. This product mostly moves forward and back. It doesn't negotiate side to side or around corners. You might like a true dolly, like a plastic or wood platform on wheels that can turn corners like the wheels on a piece of luggage.
by|Jun 7, 2021
A: They may work for your wardrobe, but they do not a wheel locking mechanism.
by|May 3, 2023
A: It would, but keep in mind: the wheels do not swivel. The heavier your wardrobe, the more difficult t will be to move it side-to-side.

Q:Is the intended use temporary for moving or permanent to allow cleaning behind? Can you (should you) put under a washer/dryer, refrigerator, and freezer permanently to allow easy access for cleaning? Would the spin cycle on the washer cause it to roll since wheels cannot lock?

Answer This Question
A: permanent
by|Mar 11, 2019
A: We use ours permanently under an older tall freezer that had no wheels of its own, so that we can easily clean under/behind. It would work for a front-load washer and might work for a top-load washer if you chock the wheels with a wedge-style doorstop or a wood shim.
by|May 23, 2020
A: The intended use is for temporary movement of appliances. You may be able to use them for permanent use, but the washer and appliance rollers would need to be secure to prevent rolling. Since this is not the intended use of the product, we cannot advise you what to do; but it might help to test the washer with the rollers while it is on/off and with/without clothes in it.

A: Permanent...
by|May 4, 2023
A: Permanent (for cleaning) on fridge or freezer. I do, anyway, on mine. Well designed, but make sure you level the units on the final resting place, not where you move it to (for cleaning)!
I would never suggest a product of this type to be used under a washer (or dryer) for the exact reason you noted!

A: You could lengthen the slot in the inner rail using a cutoff wheel and cut both inner and outer rails shorter to accommodate the length you need, but that could weaken the stability of the whole unit and possibly void any warranty...
by|May 23, 2020
A: I personally might make the MacGyver attempt by sawing them shorter and using an extra set of bolts and nuts to retain rigidity.
Basically the linear (straight) tracking is what might be effected, as long as the weight is on the wheeled portion.
At this price, it would be worth trying.
The cut would best be done with a band saw, but could be done with a reciprocating saw if you clamp it well.
But I am sure the manufacturer would say not to do that.
by|Mar 17, 2021
A: It might be possible to shorten the rollers, but at the cost of losing the adjustability feature. I'd expect to hacksaw off the excess length of the connecting members, drill a couple of holes as necessary and connect the two sections with #8 bolts and locknuts so that the new overall depth meets your requirements. Note this is "hypothetical" advice since I haven't closely examined the rollers I have to confirm it is totally feasible.

A: Without knowing more about the weight and distribution of your shed, we cannot say whether these will work. However if you purchased enough of them to support your shed, then they should work.
