A:  For events, we would recommend ordering a week to 2 weeks in advance to allow the plants to settle once received and just in case some little guys don't fair well we can certainly replace them. :)

A:  Yes each arrives in its own little pot with drainage holes. The pot looks to be about 2x2 inches. I think they will do fine for awhile in the pots they arrived in. I am repotting them after 1 week in a bigger pot.

A:  Depends on how big the succulent is in comparison to the pot it is in. If it's in a 2 inch pot with a succulent hanging over the edges, it needs a bigger pot. (No more than 2" bigger). You can either pot it into the correct size pot or tell the person you are gifting it to that it needs to be repotted. Same thing--if it's in a 4" pot and the succulent is 5 or 6 inches, it needs repotting. The best time to repot succulents (and any plant, really) is the spring time, as they are actively growing then, and will recover quicker. Summer time is fine too, but fall and winter repottings can be done. Just try not to stress the plant out too much, or it could die. Make sure you use lots of perlite (about 50%) along with Cactus/Palm/Citrus mix so it will be fast draining. A succulent will get root rot very easily with a potting soil that doesn't have a lot of perlite in it. They also only need to be watered when they are completely dry.

                                  Answer This Question

A:  Succulents can grow outside but just be careful of direct sunlight. Succulents don't fair too well with harsh sunlight and prefer indirect sunlight or soft sunlight. When the succulents grow bigger they can spread out a little but with most species they stay to their area.

                                    Answer This Question

A:  Although you do see succulent arrangements for sale at times, this is not a good idea. Some need more frequent watering than others, for one thing. For another, succulents will often outgrow their pots pretty quickly. Then they will be cramped, and look untidy in no time. You would have to repot them at that time anyway. I would only plant one succulent plant per pot. If you absolutely MUST plant them together, make sure there is enough space for them to grow without being cramped. Depending on the size the succulent will reach, and how fast it grows, you might need only a few inches between, or you might need 6 or more inches between. Research the type of succulent you have, and its needs, as well as how large it will grow.
