A:  There’s no indication on the wiring itself other than ‘Cu’, the ends of the wire (after being cut) appear to be pure copper.

A:  This product is a single-conductor, multi-stranded, insulated, 14-gauge wire that is made up of several smaller wires twisted together. Stranded wire is more flexible than wire with a solid core.

A:  For the typical 120V, 15A receptacle running to a 15A breaker, 14/3 (14 ga, 3-strand) SOLID wire is best. The 3rd wire is the uninsulated copper wire that's used as the ground. If it's a 20A, then use 12/3 or heavier (10/3, etc.). So, no... I wouldn't use this because it's stranded (best when flexibility and repetitious movement is at issue, such as extension cords), and because it only contains one strand, not the 3 needed (hot/black, neutral/white, ground/bare copper).
