Q:I want to spray this around a mature maple tree. Will this have any bad side effects on the tree?

A:  Thank you for your question. The product is safe as long as it is not directly applied to the tree or any exposed roots.

    A:  I've sprayed around my fruit trees and around rose bushes, kept the spray from landing on tree trunks or on the rose bush stock, have not seen any problems.

          A:  Hi Jean. You can use Spectracide Weed & Grass Killer if you have dogs -- just keep them out of the treatment area while you're spraying and until treated weeds and grass are completely dry.
