A:  Hi Matt, Type DW-8586 is an issue number it varies depending on the batch of production and has nothing to do with the breaker dimension and installation. If you are needing 2 pole 40A breaker for HOMELINE then this is the correct breaker. A:  Yes you can use 12/ 2 with ground. A 20 amp 2 pole breaker. A mrcool mini uses under 20 amps

A:  Hi Dwayne, The 40 - 125 A Homeline breaker lugs are all rated at 75 degrees C. 90°C conductors may be used if installed in accordance with the 75-degree C wire tables of the current NEC (National Electrical Code).
