Q:Does the replacement lid for the 96-gal Toter trash can come with new lid hinges?

Answer This Question
A: Toter replacement lid kits for Toter-brand carts come with the lid and the hinge brackets needed to attach the lid to the cart (see provided pictures and installation video on this page). That's all you need other than a torque screwdriver or drill bit to unfasten the old lid and fasten the new one. If you have any other questions, please call Toter customer service at 800-424-0422 (select option "2" for retail customers). Thank you.

Answer This Question
A: Toter Wheel Replacement kits are made and warranted only for Toter-brand two-wheel trash carts. People use them for other trash cart brands, but you should not purchase one without knowing the exact specifications. The Toter 96-gallon replacement wheel kit has wheels that are 10” radius and 1-3/4” wide. The axle is 5/8” in diameter and 22” long. Please note that our wheels “snap on” to the axles. If you need additional information, please contact Toter customer service at 800-424-0422, and select option "2" for retail customers. Thank you.

Q:Hi can I use it on my trash cart branded Rehrig pacific company? I live in Evanston IL. Just the normal trash cart that every household uses. Thank you.

Answer This Question
A: There is not one "normal trash cart that every household uses." Toter Replacement Lid kits are made and warranted only for the relevant-capacity Toter-brand two-wheel trash carts. It's conceivable that you might be able to adapt one to a different brand cart, but you should not purchase one without knowing the exact specifications, and especially if it can be attached to your trash cart the way it is designed to be attached to Toter trash carts. Specifications and an installation video are provided at the top of the product page. Thanks for your interest.

Q:Where can I find the model number? Looked everywhere.

Answer This Question
A: The model number 99764 is molded on the inside of the lid near the hinge point. I have the 64 gallon lid. On the inside, near the hinge mounts, it says "Close Lide Before Moving" right in the middle, and to the right of that, in the corner, is molded in the number 99764. In addition, on the outside, near the hinges, it also has "64 gal", "240 l" to indicate the can size it fits in gallons and liters.

Q:What kind of torx screw driver do I need? Why does the replacement not include a tool to remove / tighten the screws?

Answer This Question
A: Good grief. Buy the lid if you need it and then buy or find the correct driver to fit it. If you really need the company to supply the tools to install it, just buy a new trash can.

A: Toter’s Replacement Lid Kit for 96 Gal. Two Wheel Trash Cans use screws that are specially designed to hold in plastic and cannot be purchased at your typical hardware store. They require a Torx bit of T25. To minimize our costs to our customers, we only include the hardware needed for the application.

Q:Do the dimension specs provided include the attachment arms or not? My 96 gallon Toter lid is about 30 in without counting the attachment arms. Likely that my container is older than 2003? Is there a replacement lid made for these older models?
Thanks

A: I think I am going to try this one. My current lid says it is 96 gallon, but when I measured, it is almost exactly 23.3x28.8. I can't find a replacement 96 gallon anywhere in stock, and the dimensions are way off (36+ inches).

A: We're sorry that we do not have replacement lid kits for Toter two-wheels carts purchased before 2003. The dimensions provided for our current lid do not include the latches. The Toter 96-gallon lid is 35.8 inches long and 29.5 inches wide. The 64-gallon cart lid is 32 inches long and 24 inches wide. Thank you for being a Toter customer and demonstrating the long service life of Toter two-wheel (trash can) carts.
