Answer This Question

A:  Hello - One suggestion, other than normal sweeping & vacuuming, would be to make sure that you do not use any cleaners or floor polishes that would leave a residue. Please only use neutral pH floor cleaners. Thank You -

Q:Can this be used with or without grout?

    Answer This Question

A:  Hello Jackson and thanks for your question. Unfortunately, this particular product, the TrafficMaster Ash Blended Slate Vinyl Tile has a square edge which cannot be grouted. The vinyl tile/plank that have a beveled edge are the only ones that can be grouted (the bevel gives a space for the grout to properly adhere). Hope this is helpful. Thanks again for your interest in the TrafficMaster Peel and Stick Vinyl Tile.

Q:Can I install this over ceramic tile?

        Answer This Question

A:  Hello Marsha - thank you for your inquiry. Yes - however, several preparation steps need to be taken prior to doing so. The existing tile surface must be: clean, free of any debris, smooth, and the existing grout joints must be filled in / patched. (Otherwise the ceramic tile will "telegraph" through to the vinyl tile surface.) We would recommend reading / reviewing the installation instructions prior to starting your project. Hope this helps answer your questions. Thank You -

Q:Can trafficmaster vinyl tiles be installed in an unheated shed if out of the weather?

              Answer This Question

A:  Hello HomeDIY - thanks for the inquiry. The short answer is no - they cannot. The tiles must be installed in a temperature controlled climate. The fluctuations in temperature in the shed will lead to expansion and contraction of the tiles. This will lead to product failure and will not be warranted by the manufacturer. Hope this helps answer your question. Thank You -

Q:Does anyone have a suggestion for a transition strip to use with the Ash Blended Slate peel and stick tile? In store there were 2 in the gray family but they had a brown undertone.

A:  Hello ashe - thank you for your inquiry. Being we are the manufacturer of the vinyl peel & stick tiles, we wouldn't be able to suggest or recommend a coordinating transition molding piece. The best option would be to take a piece of the vinyl tiles over to the molding bay(s) for a match that best suits you. You might be able to find a coordinating molding piece from another home improvement retailer as well. Hope this helps answer your questions. Thank You -

                      Answer This Question

A:  Hello WillieDee and thanks for your question. In order to get proper adhesion, the TrafficMaster Peel and Stick Vinyl Tile should only be installed over two types of subfloors - Properly prepared concrete, and underlayment grade plywood. The subfloor should be prepped with a flooring primer before installing the vinyl tile, then rolled afterwards with a flooring roller. We would recommend reviewing the Installation and Warranty Guides (found on the carton, or on the product page of the Home Depot website) prior to installation. Thanks again for choosing TrafficMaster Peel and Stick Vinyl Tile.

                        Answer This Question

A:  Hello Paul - thank you for your inquiry. We do not recommend installing vinyl peel & stick products in a RV. (Too much movement could lead to product separation.) A more suitable vinyl product would be that of a glue down product. Hope this helps answer your question. Thank You -
