A:  Yes, it's not a high end product but I expect we wI'll get at least three years out of it. Being in VA, we get four seasons that will be hard on any fibers over time.

A:  Yes, this product can be used outdoors year round.

To keep the carpet in place over outdoor cement we would recommend using an outdoor grade moisture resistant adhesive and a full spread glue down method. This is the best way to have a permanent installation which will reduce any potential of movement and wrinkles and buckles.

A:  yes, it is easily cut with a pair of scissors. I suggest you measure how much needs cut off & make a line on the back of the carpet to use as a guide when cutting.

A:  This Beaulieu Unbound Remnant can be cut to size with sissors.

A:  Thank you for your question. The carpet Safari is intended for owner occupied residential use and should be glued down. Safari is not intended to be used for any type rolling traffic. Any use of rolling traffic on this carpet will void the warranties as this type of traffic could leave scuff marks or damage the fiber.

A:  Valued Customer, the Beaulieu Safari Ivy 6 ft. x 8 ft. Unbound Remnant can be used in a variety of locations and does not require installation. Simply roll-out the 6 ft. x 8 ft grass rug and use with no installation required or recommended.

A:  Hi John... Yes it could be used for sports. The hold back is the rough texture. It would likely cause skin burns when the person slides. Also as with any carpet you will need to make sure it is flat and secured.

A:  Safari, color Ivy is not recommended or warranted on any type of playing surface. Safari is for indoor or outdoor residential use only.

A:  No, while it is good for lounging I do not think it would stand up to the rough use of a soccer field. Sideline use might be better as the product is inexpensive however binding the edges would be a must.

A:  This grass rug is not recommended to be used over padding as the rug could shift and cause a fall. This rug is a light weight grass product and is not comparable to a sports type product such as astro turf or other HD grass products. For a better understanding of the grass products offered please check out your local Home Depot store and their selection of In Stock and Special Order grasses/turfs.

A:  You can put it over padding but it will make it more difficult to make the floor consistently flat. As far as indoor use goes, this product is the rough version of its type, you may wish to consider one of the softer grass types

A:  I would think it would provide the service you are looking for, the padding I would think would not have to be removed however any spills would soak thru the fabric into the pad which could be a problem. Again if you are using the remnants binding the exposed edges is recommended and sewing the seams would be a must.

A:  It has a rubberized backing sprayed on it.

A:  I would be hesitant to use it for this, I do not think the weave is tight enough to provide the ability to clean it properly.

A:  This grass precut is a low pile grass with a very short nap. If you are near a HD store you can see this grass either on the Roll Bar pin or in a precut version. This might further help you make a decision.

A:  I did not measure it but it looks like it is about 1/2" tall

A:  The nap is fairly short and if you are looking for truly artificial grass I would select a different product as its appearance is of indoor/outdoor carpet.
