A: no its not bound
A: A remnant is a piece that is left after a larger piece has been cut. Yes, you are correct, it is not bound on any side. I hope this helps. Gram
A: Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for your interest in the Safari, color Ivy carpeting. This is a small piece (6 ft. x 8 ft.) which is not bound. It is intended for indoor or outdoor, owner occupied residential use and should be installed using a full spread glue down method. Thank you for your question.
A: Hi Possum, Sorry for the late response, I have been on vacation. Remnant means that it is a piece of carpet that is left over from a large piece that had been cut to a specific size. It is usually unbound on all sides, however, only the vertical (length) sides would fray (unravel) if not careful. I make a straight cut in between a rib on the back of the length sides of the carpet and I do not have a raveling problem. Hope this helps. Gram
A: Ravi, I'm not quite sure what you mean by sticking to fabric. I'm sure you could glue it to a piece of fabric but I do not know what that would accomplish. The only way I could see using it as a backdrop is to stretch a rope very taut between your poles and hang the piece of carpet over the rope. Remember this is a unbound carpet remnant and anything you would use to attach it to something would cause it to unravel. I hope this helps. Gram
A: Ravi, Thank you for your interest in the 6 ft. x 8 ft. Safari carpeting. If there is a cross bar between the two poles you can use clamps to secure the carpeting to the cross bar. Please note that this product is intended for use as a floor covering and may not perform as intended for any other usages. Thank you for your question.
A: Rob, Thank you for your interest in the carpeting Safari, color Ivy. This product is not recommended for this type of use. It is intended for indoor or outdoor owner occupied residential use as a flooring only. To perform at its best and maintain the product warranties it must be installed using the full spread glue down method using an outdoor moisture resistant adhesive. Thank you again, for your question.
A: Lets see, I guess the answer is yes, its water resistant and porous, however there are considerations, when wet it gets heavy, as a fence covering it has 100 percent wind resistance and your fence is now a big sail therefore wind damage is a prime concern, also it does retain water for a time and could cause water damage over time so without knowing more of the environment of the fence covering I would say "yes" with consideration.
A: Hi Rob, I would not recommend it. I do not know how you would attach it without putting a hole in it - remember it is UNBOUND and any hole you would put in it would make it unravel, ultimately making it fall apart. Gram
A: No, it doesn't get too hot for children to play on. I tested a section at the end of my patio which gets the AZ sun most of the day by walking barefoot on it and found it to be just warm. It would be definitely safe for children to play on.
A: I didn't use it in the sun, but I am sure it'll be cooler than concrete..
A: no this product I would not recommend for a three yr old in temps that high mine is in a shaded and temps in the high 90's can be uncomfortable on bare feet.
A: Glen, Thank you for your interest in the Safari, Ivy 6 ft. x 8 ft. carpeting. All surfaces, including carpeting will have an increase in temperature when exposed to direct sunlight. Lighter colored carpets may reflect the sun better such as the carpet Mainstream color Almond. Thank you for your question
