Q:Can i use this to lift a 2 foot by 12 foot sheet metal panel i am using for a ceiling

Answer This Question

A:  I would think so. i put up 4 ft x 12 ft x 1/4-inch sheetrock in the ceiling of my living room. I do not know how heavy your metal is, but the arms are somewhat adjustable for different size material. I will do my dining room in very near future using this same machine. I hope this answered your question. dew

A:  The arms are wide anough to support the 2' dimension but be aware the arms were only designed for 8'. But they are heavy duty and I see no reason why the device as a whole would have trouble with the sheet you mentioned--just might be a 2' overhang beyond the arms at each end

Q:What is the actual maximum ceiling height?

          Answer This Question

A:  The description states "Maximum reach for walls: 15 ft. (this is determined by the 11 ft. maximum lift and half the length of drywall)" so the total wall height includes the drywall extension above the lift.

          by|May 7, 2023

A:  The maximum height for horizontal ceilings will be 11 ft, and in order to extend to the 15 ft horizontal ceilings you'll need to order the extension option DPH11-X for this item. We apologize for the confusion.

A:  AS I RECALL, THE BOX IS ABOUT 8 INCHES HIGH, 4 FEET WIDE, BY 3 FEET. ONE OF THE PART'S ALONE IS THAT SIZE. SO IT MAKE'S SENSE THE BOX SIZE. NOT A BIG DEAL FOR THE TOOL ARE BUYING! I HAD 3 OF THEM, AND THEY WORK EXCELLENT! YOU CAN PUT A 12 FOOT SHEET UP TO THE CEILING AND GO HOME FOR NIGHT AND COME BACK THE NEXT DAY AND IT WILL NOT HAVE HAVE MOVED AT ALL! LAST JOB I HUNG 12 FOOT 1/2 INCH SHEET'S ON A CEILING BY MYSELF. BEFORE THIS MACHINE WAS MADE, WE HUNG THE CEILING SHEET'S THE OLD FASHION WAY WITH HOLDING THEM IN PLACE WITH OUR HEAD. NOW I HAVE CERVICAL DISC ISSUE'S DUE TO IT! SO I RECOMMEND THIS MACHINE TO ANYONE WHO ASK'S! GOOD LUCK & STAY WELL! JERRY

                    by|Nov 21, 2021

A:  I do not know why your lift only reaches 8 feet but are you sure you put it together right? Or did your lift come with a short lift pole or too short of a cable by mistake. My lift had a long enough lift pole and cable to lift it to 11 feet.

A:  The 11 feet is the height that the drywall lift will lift a panel or sheet if sheetrock from the floor to the ceiling or a high wall.

A:  I used it for a cathedral ceiling that had a high point that was 11 feet in center, don't think it was maxed out, that was highest point I had so never attempted to go higher. I used it on all my ceilings, 10 foot on first floor, 9 foot on second story and 11 foot cathedral on the third floor. Did it all myself and could not have done it without the lift. Worth every penny. I considered renting one but decided it was much more economical to buy it considering the length of time it took me. Worked great easy to put together and move thru out the house.
