A:  Sync's Do NOT work well try something w/o sync, there will be no problems

A:  Thank you for your interest in a Hunter product. The remote will only sync with the receiver that is manufactured with the controller. They are designed to operate off of different frequencies.     A:  If you have another remote mounted in your fan this hand held unit will probably not sync to it. This unit is a remote hand held transmitter and a matching receiver which mounts in the fan. So if you install the unit in the fan then the remote will sync to it and control your fan.
