Q:Is this size board actually 1 in x 5 1/2 in x 8 ft?
by|Jul 17, 2020
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: The actual size is 3/4" X 5 1/2" X 8'.
To get a board that is actually 1" you have to get a 5/4" (1.25) board and mill it down, however sometimes it is exactly one inch.

Answer This Question
A: Be careful the last load of treated lumber I had delivered by Home Depot was very wet from treatment. It had not had sufficient time drying. It was messy to handle and then shrank pulling or even breaking screws when drying.
by|Feb 1, 2020
A: Yes, it can be stained.
by|Jan 28, 2020
A: Yes but the treatment is greenish in color. Also stain won't take unless they have weathered for a while.

Answer This Question
A: Yes, it is safe for use in vegetable beds. The green color you may see in the wood is copper, and is what protects the wood for outdoor use. See the link below for more info.
