A: You can touch the steel wool with your hands that’s sold in most stores this product is real steel wool times 20. You must wear gloves with this product or you will cut up your hands. What ever you’re sealing with this rest assured nothing will get through.

A: This fabric is more of a barrier and doesn't break down and rust like regular steel wool. Both fabrics have their uses and steel wool isn't cut out for this application.

A: Xcluder Fill Fabric is made with a blend of coarse stainless steel wool and poly fibers. Because it uses stainless steel wool it won't rust like regular steel wool. The addition of poly fibers allows the material to be compressed into the gap and then spring back to form a secure seal in the opening.

A: Around the box is fine but it should definitely not be used inside the electrical box or in any area where there is exposed wiring.

A: I used it around brick and wood. When you ask about an electrical box, I become a little concerned about safety. If you could include a picture, I could better answer your question. Thanks.

A: This is basically a roll of steel wool mainly used to plug holes around pipes and cracks and crevices. With the door opening and closing it wouldn't last long. Good luck!

A: this material is meant to be "stuffed" into a small opening to prevent entry. If it doesn't have a way to adhere with the garage door AND the cement floor, it won't work
