Q:Will this product fill wood grain in oak cabinet doors?
by|Jan 29, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hi Jefferson, our Zinsser Cover Stain Oil-Based Primer is an excellent choice for priming Oak cabinets; however, it will not fill in wood grain. Prior to priming, we recommend filling the grain using our Varathane High Performance Wood Filler and a putty knife. Once dry, the surface can be sanded smooth, then primed prior to painting. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Varathane-12-oz-High-Performance-Wood-Filler-340228/305626726 - Rust-Oleum Product Support 2
