Do NOT use as joint sand!
The joint sand in our pavers was pretty much gone, so we decided to replace it ourselves.
The label said this was suitable for that purpose, and Pavestone is a reputable company, so we decided to go with this product. BIG MISTAKE.
It's been two months, at least 40 sweepings and multiple attempts to clean up the excess with a shop vac, but the stuff never settles. After every rain, the sand comes out of the joints and covers the entire patio with a layer of grit and film.
Pavestone sent a rep to our house twice, and was never able to tell us why it was doing this (the rep told me he's never seen this happen before) OR how to fix it.
Now we have to hire a professional to clean up the mess.

Perfect for working with pavers, retaining block
This paver sand was just the thing I needed to level and adjust height. It seems to have almost a concrete mixture in it. Once it gets damp it sort of sets up a bit. It can still be worked with but it will keep the other items in place. Made putting in my retaining wall a much easier job. It took me nearly 6 weeks ( rainy days not counted) to complete it. But, it's beautiful.

Great product to build a firm base
I used the 0.5 cu. ft. Sand Paver Base (Step 1) bags as a base and then put this sand on top of it to build my new patio.
It all came out solid and level - and it looks great.

It worked great for leveling pavers, but had a little too much coarse material that did not fit in narrow gaps between them.

Terrible Customer Service
I ordered 12 bags of this sand online from the Home Depot on Oracle Rd in Tucson. The order was supposed to be ready within 2 hours. I had purchased this sand before (which is a great product) but had bought it off the skid in gardening. I knew I had gotten the last few bags just a few days before. So I went in 15 minutes before the order was to be ready to check to make sure the sand was actually there even though the web site said there 70 bags in stock. They told me that yes they had the sand and it would be ready for me at the appointed time. 10 minutes after the appointed time and having heard nothing about the order I went back inside to ask about when it would be ready. This time I got another employee who saw the order was late and called the back and found there really was no sand available. So I didn't get my order and waited 30 minutes at the store without notification. They said they would happy to cancel my order. Which I did. But why was there no attempt to try to get sand from a different store, or check availability elsewhere, offer a discount, maybe even delivery. Nothing. I will do my best not to frequent that store in the future. Staff is helpful inside, but sometimes, the customer service desk is not to be trusted.

Had to re level a very uneven, sunken patio that had 24" stone pavers. After setting new crush as a base, this sand, as a second step, made the rest of the job a piece of cake. Leveled up 1" of sand and the pavers set nicely. Easy to work with and very pleased with the results.

I cannot rate the pavers for I never received them. Twice the delivery date date was changed. I could not be present on the third date, so I canceled the order. I would rate your delivery system very poor.
