Used this lumber to build a picnic table. Like usual at HD, I had to sort through the pile to get the best lumber for the top and seating. There were a lot of twisted and knotty boards to sort through, but you pay a little extra for this ability to pick your lumber. Overall I wish they had fewer knots, and had more heartwood but they are acceptable for the price.

I had my handyman create a raised garden bed using the Mendocino wood planks & cement block corners specific for raised beds. What a great creation! Love the look and functionality! Will last for a real long time yet feasible to move if necessary. Great job!

Poor quality -- a lot of knots and whitewood. Had to select from a lot of bad boards. Required Multiple visits over a week to make sure there is sufficient good quality wood.
In my instance, after I spent ~hour or more selecting the wood and went to the counter, the lady at the counter billed 3x each post. When they double checked it was mis-labeled. A 8ft post was labeled as 16ft and priced 3x the cost of a 8ft.
They refused to override the price and asked me to go look for rightly labeled wood. Had to go over the lot for another hour to complete the purchase of my wood.

As always I went through the pile of boards to get lumber I was mostly happy with. I noticed on all my boards a gripping machine marks on the wood. The wood has knots and splitting. So being careful I got fairly good wood and they turned into a nice backdoor porch landing and steps.

Sure poor quality. Wood is split, corners are smashed, huge dents and pieces falling off. Had to dig thru the entire pallet to find 18 boards that were good enough to build a picnic table. Better quality control is needed. Not Home Depot’s fault as it’s on boards in the center of the pallet. Wood Dept Employees always helpful And willing to bring down another pallet.

I had to rip the board down to the size...
I had to rip the board down to the size I needed(5/4j. The wood was so wet and dense that it ended up burning up the motor on my table saw as I tried to cut it. No where near kiln dried.
