These kits save us so much money and are definitely worth the little bit of work. It's also nice that the tape comes with the plastic as I've seen some kits that don't have it. Highly recommend that if the windows are older, use the plastic on the outside as well as the inside! We did that this time and it's has helped a lot more!!

5 stars because it was easy enough to mount a 65" x 45" sheet of plastic on a double window, and I worked by myself from the third step of a ladder and I'm almost 68 years old. One thing I noticed is that the tape that comes in this kit is super easy to use, unlike the tape that comes with the interior kit, which is a nightmare to use. I have no idea if this will hold up through the winter.

After applying the tape to the surface of the window frame, the peel-off paper is very difficult to remove. It continually rips while peeling it off meaning you have to repeatedly use your fingernails to separate the thin paper from the tape. A very frustrating process. I'm surprised they couldn't engineer a better solution.

Something is really wrong wit this product. The tape does not peel correctly and it is impossible to attach to a window or to the plastic.

This is the only one that the tape sticks to any material and the window film is crystal clear. Also they cut the film ion exact rectangles so you have even edges when you stick it to the tape. The only one I will buy. I tried the others and won't do that again. This is the fifth year we have used it.

Use this product on the outside of my screen room to cover the screens. I clean the metal frame good and the tape 3-m provides sticks very well. It last all winter with no problems. Going to be 2nd winter using 3-m.

This product was so easy to work with. After cleaning the surface as recommended, we applied the tape and were able to attach and detach the plastic multiple times to get it to the point where it was taut enough. We chose to work on a day that was rather gusty but because the tape could hold the plastic for us while we were working on another area, it didn't pose the problems that you might imagine. So far, so good.

True to the words.. Clearer than the others. Does the job well.

Could you please confirm if this product will help for California summer heat?

Much easier than the old brand I've used in the past. I put this on my screened porch and it held through horrible wind and rain on several occasions. It's very clear. You can't tell it's there except at night when the lights in the porch are on. The tape is super strong and holds like crazy. None of the strong winds caused it to let go. I've been putting film on the screening on my porch for years and this brand is absolutely the best. I've used it on some windows and a door on our outdoor shop and have excellent results there too. Clear to see out, blocks cold air and holds tight.

My patio doors are right off my kitchen and are very desperately in need of repair. This kit has bought me some time and helped this winter so I can hold off replacing the doors. Very easy to use and install.

Easy to use. However I was not aware of the outdoor temperature requirements in order to install. However I still installed, tape and plastic all worked as promised

You can literally see the curtains moving at times! This Patio Door Insulation Kit is a repeat buy for us every year for our doors. It completely cuts down on the drafts and helps insulate and keep our rooms warmer. We can’t go into a winter season without a 3M haul!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 3M kit has enough film to cover a standard patio door. It is meant for use on the outside of the door. It was pretty easy to install. This kit includes the mounting tape and window film. You will need a tape measure and scissors to install the film. This product does not shrink to fit with a hair dryer. You will need to stretch it to remove wrinkles. You are able to reposition the film to get it tight. Window film will stop drafts around the door frame and keep condensation down. The film is very clear and won't block your view. It's a great way to save money on your heating costs in the winter

I thought I would save a few bucks and purchased the frost king film. It started tearing before I started applying the blow dryer. Ripped it off and bought the 3M kit. Problem solved

Had installed on 3 patio doors. It looked great, you couldn't even tell it was on. The plastic is good quality, goes on smoothly and sticks well until it gets below zero and the wind from the storm hits it. The plastic came off all 3 during our first winter storm. The plastic wasn't damaged, it just released from the sticky tape. I really had high hopes for this as it made more sense to block the wind before it hits the doors.

Been on for over a month and I see a noticeable difference. It has lasted longer being outside opposed to inside with my dogs always putting their nose through it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this on a couple areas in our breezeway. It seems to stick better to our window frame than our storm doors. I was hoping to be able to at least block off the areas that don't currently have glass. Works well on both sides of the wood windown panes.

It fit perfectly so I went and got more fore all my windows. If you are looking for a great product that's easy to use and works great I recommend you try these. They are perfect!!!

Four people covered the patio door in about 30 minutes. The wind challenged us but keeping the film close to the ground was the trick to avoid unintentional sticking to the tape.

My neighbor had a window blow out during one of our winter storms and needed to seal and cover what was exposed! So we used the 3 ml window cover and let me tell you it worked great. The wind isn’t rush through the house and is working great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a really old bow window in my living room. It lets in the cold air from outside. I got this to seal out the drafts. This kit was easy to put up. It definitely works no more cold air coming in. This is totally afford and beats replacing the whole window. Plastic is really great quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this just in time for the cold weather that just hit my area, this 3M insulation kit work perfectly to keep the cold air out, it definitely does what it supposed to do . It was a great and timely purchase.

While the plastic was a good quality and thickness, the double stick tape didn't stick well in many places It was applied to clean surfaces and rubbed on well but let go in a number of spots.. I have used other brands in the past and this one definitely wasn't up to the others.
