Material defective.
My son-in-law gifted a pair of these hearing protectors two years ago. The plastic covering that fits agains each ear is disintegrating on both ears. Is there any remedy? Apparently, the option to send you a photo is not available.

      This would be a 5 star review if not for one issue
      I'm completely happy with these headphones. They do a great job protecting my ears while I listen to music or podcasts as I'm mowing. But there's one issue I don't like. By design, these can only pair with one device. My wife and I share these. When she wants to use them, they have to be unpaired from my phone to be discoverable by hers. Apparently 3M didn't think people might share these, or they didn't care. Either way, it's annoying.

          No iOS Bluetooth
          Great productm but when I switched from Android to iOS phone, they stopped pairing with Bluetooth. Pretty useless without that. Tried everything: updated iPhone software, doublechecked the manual for troubleshooting tipes (there were none), tried to find updated firmware for the Worktunes (found nothing on this site). So they were nice - when they worked.

            Durable and long battery life
            I’ve had mine for a few years now. Regular use on aviation flight line and doing yard work. They even survived being in a t-bone car wreck. Zero complaints. Car wreck did require some super glue and wax string to piece back together but zero problem with Bluetooth or battery afterwards.

              Glaring issue on an otherwise decent product.
              Did what they're supposed to do for a while, weren't very loud, but worked. Figures the only wires you can see are what pull out of the ear cup, and cause issues. I baby my pair, the act of putting them on and taking them off, caused the wires to pull out of the ear slightly. Since then, they barely function.

                Great while they worked right
                I’ve had these for a little under a year. They were awesome while they worked. Recently if I move the wrong way, the music will make a loud screeching noise and just shut off and won’t turn back on. It’s tough to get them to work correctly now

                  Wiring between ear muffs is the weak point
                  I have owned 2 pair of these for years and like the idea. I use them for mowing, weedeating, edging, etc. Another words I use them in any noisy environment to protect my hearing. The first problem I had was the disintegration of the ear muffs. I was able to find replacements online. Next, like many of the reviews I have read, the wiring lost its rubber covering and ultimately the headphones failed. The second pair has not been used as much but they have also lost the covering on the 6-conductor wire and consequently the wire has broken rendering it inoperative. I opened this pair and discovered the wire that connects the left and right ear muffs is a 6-conductor wire with small connectors on each end that plug in to the circuit board. Is this ready-made cable with connectors available? If so, I can repair the headphones and restore their function.

                    Battery Life is Unacceptable
                    I got these for Christmas. They have never held a charge. When they say, '30+ HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE PER CHARGE', I guess they mean after you charge it completely, it will hold the charge for 30 hours and the battery will be flat, regardless of use, because that is what they have ALWAYS done for me. I gave it 2 stars because as sound-dampening ear muffs, they work well and are comfortable. They just don't provide any 'tunes' while working.

                      Right side stopped working
                      Bought these for my husband maybe a couple years ago, and they were great while they worked, but the right ear just stopped working. I would have expected these not-inexpensive headphones to work for more than 2 years. Pretty disappointing.

                        Another customer with charging port complaint
                        It works well, EXCEPT charging port finally broke after months of finicky charging cable issues. Initially I thought it was a poor cable then I read the reviews. So much fussing with charging cable to get a proper connection, then months later the port plug fell inside unit. I was using the unit only occasionally, it would have failed much sooner with daily use. I like the bulky old school look of non ear pods, tells those nearby to leave me alone I'm enjoying the radio.

                          Charging port is crapola.
                          Charging is freaking crap, stopped charging about 4 months after purchase. Dont waste you money.

                            Good product just needs a couple tweaks.
                            I work as a landscaper running all different types of very loud equipment, I've used several of these products over the years from the AM FM radio pairs, and now on my second pair of Bluetooth. For the most part they are really good, comfortable, and do the job nicely. My only complaint is that I have to wear hard hats on certain projects and can't use them comfortably. It would be great if I could find a pair that the head band would pivot back behind your neck. That and the foam is really hard to keep from smelling bad when you sweat a lot. Otherwise a great product.

                                  Works and sounds great
                                  Had an old Am/Fm Worktunes for years. Upgraded to a new Bluetooth set. Great for mowing the lawn and working outside. Muffles outside noise while playing music. Very good Bluetooth connection. Walked 50’ from my phone and never lost connection. Fits well over hat, lightweight.

                                          So I am another victim of the USB charging port defect in this product, I have had these 'earphones' for a little over a year now with very light use, the charging port is coming loose and now it will not charge, I suspect that this design flaw is in every headset that 3M sell, you would think that by now they would have resolved this issue!

                                              I bought the pair that I have about 2 years ago. I am impressed. The environment I use these in I would have figured they would have been toast in about 6 months. I love these things. The sound quality is great and they work flawlessly.
